My first time at this annual event! All the artists who participated produced truly engaging work. Some capitalized on the beauty as well as the abjectness of the human body, others simply on 'being'. This event is not for everyone, it certainly isn't for the faint of heart nor the prude. I did not post the most salacious of my pictures from this event. This brings me to my small disagreement with Facebook. They removed a picture (above, left) from my account for 'pornography' and sent me a stringent warning. I had captioned my post as such: "If you believe that nudity in art is inappropriate, don't look!". As a private company Facebook is well within its' rights to remove content....but come on! I plead the Mapplethorpe defense!
